Long time no talk about movies. Recently, many people are crazy for Kung Fu Panda and Chi Bi in this summer. But it's a pity, I have not watched either of them yet, so I can't share any words on them. And today, what I want to say is something about Amadeus which impressed me a lot. This movie tells the story of a famous musician you must know. He is Mozart, with the whole name of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and just as you seen, Amadeus is his middle name which also means Love of God.
Mozart's gift on music is well established. when he was very little, about 6-year-old, he had started to give shows, he wrote his first concerto at about 4, first symphony at 8, and first opera at 12, every story about him is an admirable legend, for more, please click here>>. He is totally a God's favoured children.
But genius was also human, he lived in reality as common others, not heaven, although god loves him. When genius met reality, he had two problems : jealousy and money, which carried the genius's story to a tragic ending finally.
The other main role, Antonio Salieri, and also the relater of this story is a complex character. On one hand, he was jealous a lot of the gift of Mozart, a younger but better musician, on the other hand, he admired Mozart very much, and deeply loved his music. So he set a trap for his imaginary enimy and tried to kill him, but at the same time, he didn't want miss any shows from Mozart, even repeatly watched.
Finally, Mozart was dead, at the age of 36, of poor. Was Salieri happy? I don't think so. Many years later, Salieri was in deeply self-accusation for killing the composer of the most charming music, but it still better than that he was still live, while his music had been dead, Mozart had been dead, but his music will live in every people's heart for ever.
Someons says, Amadeus is not the truth history. Yes, I think so. Mozart's life must be more colorful than that -- not in German only, but all over Europe, not associate with Salieri, but also Haydn and much more other musicians. But in my opinion, Amadeus is still a wouderful work, not for history, but for a moved story about genius in reality.
