For some well known reasons, recently, the song of Chinese Children>>, composed by Zhou Yunpeng, occured to my memory suddenly. I've heard this song for once only, but it impressed me so much for its lyrics.
Don't be a child in Kelamayi, the burns on your skin break mother's heart.
Don't be a child in Shalan, you can not fall in sleep for the darkness under water.
Don't be a child in Chengdu, mother takes drugs and leaves you alone.
Don't be a child in Henan, the AIDS virus screamed with laughter in your veins.
Don't be a child in Shanxi, father turned to pieces of coal, and you never see him again.
Don't be a child in China, extremely hungry people will eat you up.
Unlike an old goat on wilderness, who becames fierce to protect their lambs.
Don't be a child in China, all your parents are cowardly guys.
Their rocky hearts make them evacuate leaders firstly when dangers come.
PS: Bad job. Sigh. Here is the Chines Lyrics>>.
I think this song is impressive, each line of the lyrics implys a true social phenomenon in China. But today, what I want to say is just the child in China.
In my opinion, children are the future and hope of a country. It's not new, but almost beyond suspicion and shared by many in any country, any times. In the Theory of Teenagers and China>>, written by Liang Qichao>>, a great thinker in ancient Qin Dynasty, such sentences are contained: China will be wise while teenagers are wise, China will be rich while teenagers are rich, China will be strong while teenagers are strong, China will be independent while teenagers are independent, China will be free while teenagers are free...
But what have we done to our children? No any rebar in school building, so that an earthquake killed one generation in the disaster area -- many school buildings turned to ruins so rapidly that no enough time for all students to escape. I have a strong desire to ask this question: Which is more mournful? The earthquake, or the children who would not die. And then one more quetion: so much injuries and deaths, fated or man-made?
The pain of the appalling earthquake has not be abated, just three monthes later, another disaster shaked the country, even the world, again. Yes, it's San Lu powered milk event, hurting children much more directly. One more generation were lost again.
"Create a hopeful future for our children," Asakura Keita said in Change>>, a Japanese TV drama, which moved me a lot till now. I also want to do the same thing, but what I've seen made me disappointed totally. "They are the flowers of motherland, they are the new sun on 9, 10 o'clock, they are ..." We eulogize them with the most beautiful discription, while, at the same time, kill them with our own hands. Maybe my words are too intemperate, but it's the real thing we are doing.
STOP!
Don't make our children regret to be a Chinese.
